When I leave for the park or studio to go practice, I carry three to six different hoops with me, depending on what I plan to work on. Bigger hoops are great for learning new tricks and for training the body to dance in the hoop. I usually carry one dancer, two or three hyperlites and a pixie which is my favorite hoop for the majority of what I do. My suggestion is to have at least one larger hoop for practicing new moves, and having a smaller lighter hoop for practicing off the body moves and isolations. Hoops are affordable even in this economy. Compared to getting into new sports, there is hardly anything besides frisbees or hackeysacks that are less expensive. A great hoop for the brand new hooper. This hoop is large enough and heavy enough to be easy to use and it has an easy groove for learning tricks. $45
Dancer-
Best selling hoop. This is smaller than the Cruiser so it's going to be speedier, but it's my favorite to reccomend as an all around hoop for newer hoopers. Good for smaller people too. A great hoop to graduate to after using the Cruiser or Bruiser. $40
Hyperlite-
This is a graduate level hoop that will get your heart rate moving. Super for off the body moves, using many hoops at once, or for big tosses and acrobatics. $35
